| If you have a portable MP3 player and you haven't tried downloading podcasts you are missing out. Podcasts are like little radio shows that can be based on subjects that fall outside the normal listening public's idea of entertainment. It's something like Public Access television, where anyone who applies can show their show on the air. This is something like that, without the traditional broadcasting. So because people can put out a low budget program about anything they want, you can find shows about subjects that would not generate enough interest on the mainstream media. | ||||

| To download podcasts you need a program like Juice to check for new episodes of your podcasts and download them. Juice has a directory of podcasts that you can choose from, or you can manually enter your own. Once all of your podcasts are entered you can click the catchup button and it will download all the new episodes. | ||||

| Juice is an especially nice podcast receiver because it is free (though you can make a donation) and it will work with whatever type of player you have. So, if you have a Faux-Pod or a Quasi-Pod you don't have to worry about Juice being incompatible with your player. | ||||

Once the episodes are downloaded, just transfer the files
over to your player like you normally do and play them on your player.
