Once you have created your card, you are in the home stretch. This is where the fun starts. The following directions can also be found here. You should probably make yourself somewhat familiar with the QNX os.
Power down your Audrey and pull out the plug. Most people recommend using a power strip with a switch for this step because the cord is fragile. Wait a couple seconds and insert the card in the slot.
Hold down the "Datebook" and "Power" buttons, and plug the unit back in. Keep those 2 buttons pressed until the screen says that the flash is being erased. If you are experimenting with multiple images, you can boot directly from a card without flashing by holding down the "Datebook" button by itself.
The screen will say that the flash is being erased and written a few times. Once the screen tells you to "REMOVE COMPACTFLASH CARD", remove the card. The Audrey should never be turned off with a card in the slot, it will corrupt the card.
Once that is done, the screen will change to say "REMOVE POWER CABLE", at this point you should pull out the power cord.
Once the plug is out, wait a few seconds and plug it back in. When the Audrey boots up you will see the new operating system installed and ready to be customized. If you decided to use the Infinity's Ultimate1.1S the channel knob will no longer control the channel popup. If you turn the knob, it will pull up the mp3 player. Because the network shares are not configured yet, the left pane will be empty. Once this is configured, it will show your mounted network share and all the subdirectories. When you have MP3's loaded up in the playlist, the knob will skip forward or back, and pushing it will pause and resume playback.
I like Infinity's Ultimate 1.1S the best out of all the images I have tried but the other images do have their merits. Jukebox has an image that allows you to use a USB keyboard and mouse with a pointer. There is another image called MrAudrey that is designed specifically to work with MrHouse home automation software. MrAudrey has a lot of nice features and is very easy to configure. The links in the Action Palette (the pop up filmstrip that you get when you turn the knob) are very easy to change using the user interface. Go to the next page to see how to configure network shares and other tweaks.
